Director of Surgical Services

A 282-bed regional medical center in Panama City, FL is seeking a Director of Surgical Services to provide executive-level leadership across its surgical and procedural service lines.

The role. Reporting to the COO, this director oversees seven departments — including the OR, PACU/recovery room, same-day surgery unit, Central Sterile Supply (CSS), infusion center, and GI — with a total headcount of approximately 120 staff across 12 operating rooms. The director is responsible for volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and ensuring clinical standards and regulatory compliance across all areas of oversight. A key focus of the role is driving quality outcomes through evidence-based practice, managing clinical variation to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and collaborating with physicians and administrative leadership to enhance existing services or develop new service lines. The director also leads budget development and ongoing financial performance management, including labor optimization, supply utilization, and variance analysis.

What we're looking for.

• 2+ years of Recent Acute Care Director of Surgical Services experience Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
• Master's Degree Preferred
