Join us at our Kissimmee office, where you'll work directly with our surveying professionals and field crews. This is a fully on-site leadership opportunity that provides the collaboration, visibility, and hands-on involvement needed to lead a successful Survey Department.

Candidates must hold a current Florida Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) license or be eligible to obtain Florida licensure immediately through endorsement. Job Description

As our Director of Surveying, you'll lead our surveying operations, guide a talented team, and oversee the successful delivery of diverse surveying projects. You'll have the opportunity to combine your technical expertise, leadership abilities, and business acumen to make a meaningful impact.

• Lead daily Survey Department operations, including staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and project delivery.
• Manage and mentor professional surveyors, technical staff, and field crews while building a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, subdivision platting, and as-built surveys.
• Serve as the department's senior technical authority, reviewing and signing and sealing professional surveying deliverables as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets, revenue, profitability, utilization, and operational performance.
• Oversee surveying projects from initial proposals through successful completion.
• Build lasting client relationships, develop proposals, and identify opportunities to grow our surveying services.
• Champion modern surveying technologies, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GNSS/GPS, UAV/drone surveying, LiDAR, and GIS.

Qualifications

• Current Florida Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) license or ability to obtain Florida licensure immediately through endorsement.
• 5+ years of professional surveying experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Proven experience leading surveying projects, teams, or departmental operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction surveying, subdivision platting, and professional survey review.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and modern surveying workflows.
• Experience with project budgets, resource planning, quality control, and client management.
• Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills.
• 5+ years of project, team, or departmental leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
