About the Client:

Our client is the Florida Department of Health, supporting the WIC technology environment, including FL-WiSE and EBT systems. This is a full-time, long-term contract position based onsite in Tallahassee, FL.

About the Role:

We are seeking a senior technology leader to oversee the WIC Information Technology team and provide strategic, operational, and technical direction for mission-critical systems. The role combines team leadership, systems oversight, technology strategy, and senior-level technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate technical teams across development, product, project, and systems administration.
• Oversee the full SDLC for FL-WiSE, EBT, integrations, cloud, and related applications.
• Manage technology strategy, governance, risks, security, system performance, and disaster recovery.
• Oversee vendors, contracts, SLAs, budgets, and technology procurements.
• Communicate technology risks, priorities, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise systems and application development experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle SQL/PL-SQL, APIs, .NET, JavaScript, Azure DevOps/TFS, and related technologies.
• Experience with cellular communication technologies and IBM Cloud / Watson X.
• 5+ years of technical leadership, SDLC management, strategic planning, vendor management, and security/risk management.
• Strong experience supporting high-availability systems and communicating with senior stakeholders.
• Must be able to work onsite in Tallahassee and pass the required Florida DOH background check.
