About This Role:
The successful candidate is a member of the Executive Management team and oversees the operations of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), guiding critical programs that advocate for, educate, and support older adults, their families, and caregivers. Serving the tri-jurisdictional communities of Prince William County, the City of Manassas, and the City of Manassas Park, the Agency is a vital member of a nationwide network of more than 670 organizations committed to aging services.
This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can apply advanced management principles, drive innovation, and lead multiple functions within the Area Agency on Aging. The Director will collaborate across the County, influence policy and program development, and provide leadership in addressing the evolving needs of older residents. In addition, the position serves as a highly visible community advocate, influencing policy, funding, and community awareness initiatives, which entail strong public engagement skills and deep expertise in aging-related issues. Typical duties may include (but are not limited to):
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. along with 8 years of related experience in public administration, public sector management, social work, and human services policies, programs, and processes.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
Hiring Salary Range: $151,689.64 - $ 205,227.16/Annually
