Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services (Physical Therapist) | Hope, AR

Salary: $115K-$135K

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services to lead and oversee the daily operations of our rehabilitation department. This leadership position combines clinical practice with administrative responsibilities and is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist who enjoys mentoring staff, driving quality outcomes, and delivering exceptional patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily operations of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Services department.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to all Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development for therapy staff.
  • Maintain a productive clinical caseload consisting of both inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient therapy patients.
  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Monitor department productivity, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, staffing, and operational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Arkansas state regulations, Medicare guidelines, and applicable federal healthcare standards.
  • Promote excellent patient satisfaction through effective communication and patient education.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Active Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) License.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number.
  • 2–5 years of management or leadership experience in a therapy setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent patient education and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
