Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director of Therapy & Rehabilitation Services to lead and oversee the daily operations of our rehabilitation department. This leadership position combines clinical practice with administrative responsibilities and is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist who enjoys mentoring staff, driving quality outcomes, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Essential Responsibilities
Direct the daily operations of the Therapy and Rehabilitation Services department.
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to all Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development for therapy staff.
Maintain a productive clinical caseload consisting of both inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient therapy patients.
Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Monitor department productivity, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assist with budgeting, resource allocation, staffing, and operational planning.
Ensure compliance with Arkansas state regulations, Medicare guidelines, and applicable federal healthcare standards.
Promote excellent patient satisfaction through effective communication and patient education.
Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
Required
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Active Arkansas Physical Therapist (PT) License.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification.
National Provider Identifier (NPI) Number.
25 years of management or leadership experience in a therapy setting.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent patient education and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently within a small, collaborative healthcare team.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
