Director of Transportation & Warehouse Operations

Virginia Beach, VA (Onsite)$140,000 – $165,000 Base Salary + Semi-Annual Bonus

We have partnered with a well-established transportation and distribution company that has been serving customers for more than 20 years. As the organization continues to grow, they are seeking a Director of Transportation & Warehouse Operations to oversee multiple distribution and transportation functions while driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

This is an executive leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced supply chain environment and enjoys optimizing transportation, warehouse operations, and final mile delivery networks.

What You'll Do

• Provide strategic leadership for transportation and warehouse operations across multiple facilities.
• Direct inbound, outbound, warehousing, cross-dock, and final mile distribution operations.
• Improve service levels while reducing transportation and operating costs.
• Lead transportation managers, warehouse managers, supervisors, and operations teams.
• Develop KPIs and performance metrics focused on safety, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Optimize routing, carrier relationships, labor planning, and warehouse efficiencies.
• Manage transportation budgets and identify continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to support growth initiatives and operational expansion.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive transportation, logistics, and warehouse leadership experience.
• Experience leading large transportation and warehouse operations.
• Strong background in Final Mile Delivery operations.
• Experience managing Cross-Dock facilities.
• Knowledge of Intermodal/Rail transportation.
• Multi-site distribution or warehouse leadership experience preferred.
• Proven success improving KPIs, productivity, service levels, and operational efficiencies.
• Strong financial acumen with P&L or budget management experience.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills.
