SUMMARY:
The Director of Trauma, Burn and Children's Surgery Verification is an integral member of the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. The primary responsibility of the Director is to oversee the processes that are necessary to maintain the Hospital's American College of Surgeons Adult and Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Verification, the American College of Surgeons Children's Surgery Verification, and the American Burn Association verification as a burn center for adults and pediatrics.
As the only ACS verified Level I Trauma Center in the state and the only ABA verified Burn Center, we provide essential trauma and burn care to over 4,000 patients with traumatic injuries every year. The Director of Trauma, Burn and Children's Surgery Verification reports to the Trauma Medical Director.
