Position Overview
Rider University invites applications for the Director of Undergraduate Admission. The Director of Undergraduate Admission provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all undergraduate recruitment and admission activities. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment strategies to achieve enrollment goals for both domestic and international student populations. This position supervises admission staff, manages the undergraduate admission process, and collaborates with campus partners to enhance the institutions visibility, reputation, and enrollment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive undergraduate recruitment and admission plan aligned with institutional enrollment goals.
Analyze enrollment trends, market data, and admission metrics to inform recruitment strategies and decision-making.
Establish annual recruitment goals and performance benchmarks for domestic and international markets.
Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities, admission outcomes, enrollment forecasts, and market trends.
Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community-based organizations, counselors, educational consultants, etc.
Oversee communication plans designed to engage prospective students and families throughout the enrollment funnel.
Develop and implement recruitment strategies for international student markets.
Establish and maintain partnerships with international schools, agents, counselors, and educational organizations, etc.
Oversee the evaluation of international academic credentials and admission requirements.
Be a designated school official (DSO) and provide support to international students with their immigration and visa needs by providing I20s and DS-2019s.
Manage admission technology systems, including the CRM and application platforms.
Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
Develop and manage the admission office budget.
Monitor expenditures and ensure effective use of resources.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelors degree
Eight or more years of experience in college admission, enrollment management, recruitment, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience supervising and developing professional staff.
Experience managing undergraduate recruitment and admission processes.
Knowledge of domestic and international student recruitment practices.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic planning and project management skills.
Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
Ability to interpret enrollment data and make data-informed decisions.
Experience with international credential evaluation and international recruitment initiatives.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Commitment to student service and fostering a diverse and inclusive campus community.
Ability to build relationships with prospective students, families, counselors, and campus stakeholders.
Ability to travel, work evenings and weekends as required.
Valid drivers license in good standing and vehicle required or have reliable transportation to carry out travel requirements of the position.
Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Masters degree in higher education, business, marketing, counseling, or a related field.
Experience in a small private college or liberal arts institution.
Knowledge of CRM systems and enrollment management technologies.
Experience with the admission process for nursing programs
