    Job Description

    The Director of Vascular Services and Stroke will have the overall responsibility for the successful development and implementation of strategic, programmatic, and operational planning for the Vascular and Stroke service line at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. This position will be responsible for budgeting, business plans, and planning related to the service line. The Director will also be responsible for achieving top decile performance in relevant value-based purchasing and quality indicators. The position will improve quality, standardize protocols, maintain regulatory compliance, policies, and clinical pathways, and increase physician engagement and subsequent adoption of practice changes. The successful candidate must work with multiple departments across the enterprise to successfully navigate the role. Also key to this role is working closely with the VA hospital in downtown Tulsa to provide vascular services to its patients. Direct reports include Cath Lab, Dialysis, Sleep Medicine, Wound Care, Mobile Cardiology and the stroke program. The position will report directly to (but not limited to) the Chief Nursing Officer.

    Qualifications

    Education: Master's Degree

    License/Certification:
    • BLS
    • ACLS

    Experience:
    • More than 5 years in a clinical setting (Vascular experience preferred.)
    • Experience working in an academic setting with chairs, fellows, residents, and medical students
    • Strong financial acumen and develop proposals
