Director of Warehouse Operations

We are recruiting for an experienced Director of Warehouse Operations to take full ownership of a high-volume warehouse and fulfillment operation in the New Brunswick/Edison, NJ area. This hands-on leadership role will oversee day-to-day execution, financial performance, customer relationships, and development of the site leadership team.

The right candidate will have successfully led a large distribution, fulfillment, or multi-client 3PL operation and be comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and at the strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct daily warehouse and fulfillment operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and returns

• Own site P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, labor costs, productivity, revenue, and margin improvement

• Lead and develop warehouse managers, supervisors, and frontline teams while building a strong leadership bench

• Manage key customer relationships and resolve service issues and escalations

• Partner with sales and implementation teams on new customer onboarding and program launches

• Improve inventory accuracy, cycle counting, warehouse utilization, workflow, and labor efficiency

• Leverage WMS, TMS, ERP, and reporting systems to improve visibility and operational performance

• Maintain a strong safety culture, including OSHA compliance, training, and incident follow-up

• Drive continuous improvement, automation, process standardization, warehouse layout improvements, and cost reduction

Required Qualifications

• At least seven years of experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, or 3PL operations

• Senior-level operations leadership experience as a General Manager, Site Leader, Operations Director, Senior Operations Manager, or similar role

• Track record of managing a high-volume warehouse and/or multi-client 3PL facility

• Direct P&L ownership with experience in budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, cost control, and margin improvement

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation, and warehouse productivity

• Experience working with WMS, TMS, and/or ERP systems

• Demonstrated success leading warehouse managers, supervisors, and frontline teams

• Strong customer relationship management, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to balance service levels, safety, productivity, cost, and profitability in a fast-paced operation

• Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
