Thrive Pet Healthcare is looking for a full Director of Workday Systems to join us Remotely.

The Director of Workday Practice will lead and manage a full platform Workday practice with a dedicated team of four, overseeing the following modules: Human Capital Management (HCM), Compensation, Benefits, Finance & Accounting (FDM), Expenses, Procurement, Time & Attendance, Absence Management, Payroll, and Integrations. This role involves the management, design, and development of Workday HRIS solutions, ensuring that HR technology supports the overall strategic goals of the organization. The Director will serve as the Workday system expert and lead efforts to optimize HR processes, manage system upgrades, and deliver data insights to support decision-making.

We're looking for a Director of Workday Systems to join the Thrive Pet Healthcare Support Office team.

In this role, you'll play a meaningful part in advancing our organization's priorities and supporting our hospital teams. Your expertise will help improve processes, elevate the employee and client experience, and strengthen the operational foundation of a growing, nationwide veterinary network.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop a team of HRIS Analysts, Architects, and Integration Engineers.
  • Own the overall HRIS and Workday strategy, roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversee Workday system administration, configuration, security, integrations, upgrades, and releases.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and management of HR data across systems.
  • Deliver reporting, analytics, and actionable insights that support business and talent decisions.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve system efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Lead complex system implementations, enhancements, and optimization projects.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and service-oriented team culture.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technology solutions that support organizational goals.

Your Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor''s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive HRIS experience with a strong emphasis on Workday administration, configuration, and optimization.
  • Proven experience leading HRIS teams and managing large-scale system implementations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in Workday HCM, including configuration and administration of modules such as:
  • Core HCM
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • Talent Management
  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, processes, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Experience managing Workday integrations, reporting, security, and data governance.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive business decisions.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-focused, and highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday certifications in HCM, Reporting, Integrations, or other related modules.
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations.
  • Healthcare, veterinary, or other multi-location service industry experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide HR technology transformation initiatives.
