Director Of Performance Improvement

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in beautiful, sunny Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high-quality care.

Position Summary

The Director of Performance Improvement plans, coordinates, directs and carries out activities related to the facility-wide performance and quality improvement program and processes. Ensures that the facility is in compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA, OSHA and other regulatory agencies standards.

Job Duties/

  • Oversees the activities directly related to the identification, evaluation and analysis of the performance and quality improvement activities for the facility.
  • Documents and communicates key performance and quality improvement areas for the facility.
  • Analyzes, creates and maintains quality data systems.
  • Recommends ways to improve performance and clinical outcomes based on the data.
  • Gathers performance and quality improvement data from internal or external resources.

Qualifications

Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Bachelors Degree in nursing or a mental health related field from an accredited college or university preferred. Masters Degree preferred.

Five (5) years clinical experience in a psychiatric inpatient facility with knowledge of Performance Improvement/Quality Management required. Two (2) years experience in clinical and administrative supervision required.

Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Therapist preferred Cerner experience highly preferred A strong knowledge of The Joint Commission. CMS, AHCA, OSHA standards and any other applicable federal and start laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships, inter-departmentally, intra-departmentally, and with the medical staff.
