Position Overview:
The Director of Pharmacy Sourcing & Contracting is a member of the leadership team of the System Department of Pharmacy. In this role, the System Director of Pharmacy Sourcing & Contracting plans, implements and manages the performance of contracting and product sourcing. In partnership with Director of Pharmacy Procurement, will support pharmaceutical purchasing, supply chain resiliency program, and cost allocation for Sutter Health Department of Pharmacy. Utilizing specific subject matter knowledge in contracting and customer relations skills, this director will contribute to Sutter Health affordability and clinical quality in the system-wide hospital, ambulatory and physician foundation (ambulatory) environment.
These duties include maintaining vendor relationships and strategic planning both independently and in collaboration with other members of SH system pharmacy and strategic sourcing staff. Primary focus to enhance the direct involvement of clinical and administrative staff in the contracting and value management process to improve the affordability of hospital, ambulatory and physician foundation sites.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Experience in a health-system pharmacy environment
Knowledge of sourcing, contracting, and related duties
Strong clinical pharmacy experience and ability to utilize clinical expertise to drive decision-making
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively in this highly matrixed organization
Capabilities in the use of personal computers and MS office suite of software applications.
Analytical skills include the ability to develop and manipulate spreadsheets and create professional presentation materials.
Ability and willingness to thrive in a matrix organization.
Ability to drive and independently make site visits.

Pay Range is $177,777.60 to $284,460.80 / annual salary. Applicants in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas Pay Range is $161,616.00 to $258,588.60 / annual salary. Applicants in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Lousiana, Missiouri, Montana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah Pay Range is $145,454.40 to $232,731.20 / annual salary.
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
