Director Physician Compensation & Contracting

Overview:

The Director, Physician Compensation & Contracting leads strategy and administration of physician compensation programs and provider contracting, ensuring competitive, compliant compensation structures that support recruitment and retention. This role is responsible for overseeing provider contract renewal negotiations and administration of the associated compensation calculations. The Director, Physician Compensation & Contracting serves as a key advisor to physician leadership and works closely with Legal and Compliance on all compensation and contracting matters.

Responsibilities:

• Leads administration of physicians and provider compensation programs across the organization.
• Oversees provider contract renewal negotiation and administration, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manages and develops the physician compensation and contracting team.
• Partners with Legal and Compliance to ensure compensation and contracting arrangements meet regulatory standards.
• Presents compensation strategy and performance to executive leadership.
• Serves as a key advisor to physician leadership on compensation-related matters.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading physician compensation or provider contracting functions in healthcare.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience evaluating compensation models and market data.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare compensation regulations, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback considerations.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required.

Experience

• Minimum 7+ years of related experience.

For this position, the base pay range is $150,000.00 - $190,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training.
