Description
Summary
The Director, Physician Recruitment leads strategy and execution for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment. This role supports organizational growth, workforce planning, service line development, and long-term pipeline building. Reporting to the VP, Physician Strategy and Business Development, the Director partners with executive, physician, and operational leaders to attract and hire high-quality providers.
This role is responsible for developing scalable recruitment strategies, leading complex searches, and delivering a strong candidate experience from sourcing through onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute provider recruitment strategies aligned with growth goals
Partner with leadership on workforce planning and hiring priorities
Build talent pipelines through sourcing, partnerships, and market insights
Advise on market trends, hiring challenges, and candidate availability
Search Execution
Lead high-priority and hard-to-fill physician and APP searches
Manage sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and negotiations
Ensure a high-quality candidate experience
Support smooth transition to onboarding
Operations & Leadership
Oversee recruitment processes, workflows, and performance metrics
Monitor pipelines, hiring progress, and time-to-fill
Ensure compliance, documentation, and process consistency
Identify and implement process improvements
Stakeholder Partnership
Build relationships with executive, physician, and operational leaders
Serve as a strategic advisor on recruitment and market conditions
Support workforce planning and hiring prioritization
Branding & Outreach
Partner with marketing to strengthen employer brand
Develop recruitment campaigns and outreach strategies
Build relationships with training programs and external partners
