Duration: Contract - 9 months
Pay Range: $95- $100/hr All-Inclusive (W2) Max

Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Director, Procurement Production to support client's Production Procurement function across active and upcoming productions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement operations, analytics, sourcing execution, and project management and a proven ability to shape operating cadences, lead executive-ready reporting, and drive vendor strategy and negotiations in fast-paced production environments. This role reports to the VP, Production Procurement and will partner closely with Production Finance, Corporate Finance, Legal, Studio Operations, and production stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Own procurement operating routines, including weekly pipeline reviews, monthly business reviews, and quarterly performance cadences.
  • Serve as enterprise administrator and process owner for Asana to maintain initiative tracking, milestones, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Build and lead procurement analytics, including dashboards, KPIs, performance metrics, and value realization tracking.
  • Partner with category leaders and finance to align performance data with FP&A requirements and ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Standardize procurement processes for production requests, including intake, prioritization, vendor comparisons, approvals, and escalations.
  • Drive consistent use of tools and shared trackers to provide production leadership visibility into progress, blockers, vendor status, and value delivery.
  • Develop executive-level materials that communicate performance, pipeline health, risks, and value creation to senior leadership.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and remove inefficiencies using Lean or Six Sigma methods.
  • Support change management for new routines, tools, and reporting across the procurement organization.
  • Operate as a senior individual contributor, independently engaging SVP+ executives and external suppliers to close time-sensitive priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years in procurement, supply chain, production operations, production finance, sourcing, vendor management, or management consulting in complex, time-sensitive environments.
  • Proven experience building operating cadences, governance routines, and performance management frameworks.
  • Strong analytical capability with demonstrated expertise in dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven reporting for procurement.
  • Proficiency with Asana, Smartsheet, Oracle Fusion, Airtable, Excel, or equivalent project/ERP/workflow tools. Advanced Excel and data analytics required; AI experience within Excel preferred.
  • Demonstrated success operating with agility, setting priorities, and delivering results in cross-functional settings.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience working independently with SVP+ executives and leading executive-facing meetings.
  • Process improvement experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented mindset with disciplined follow-up and closure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in production, studio, media, entertainment, live events, or project-based environments.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

  • On-site at 5555 Melrose Ave (Los Angeles), 1515 Broadway (New York), or 330 Commerce Street (Nashville).
  • Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM local time.
  • Possible extension: Not applicable.
  • Travel: As needed based on production and executive meetings.
