    ABOUT THE ROLE

    A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Product Control leader to oversee valuation control, daily P&L validation, and independent price verification activities across Rates and XVA derivative portfolios. This role will manage a team of Product Control professionals and serve as a key partner to Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting teams.

    The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in XVA, derivatives valuation, fixed income products, P&L attribution, valuation controls, and Volcker Reporting within a banking or capital markets environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Lead daily P&L validation, attribution, explanation, and reporting processes across Rates and XVA trading desks
    • Manage and develop a team of Product Control professionals responsible for valuation oversight and reporting
    • Oversee independent price verification (IPV) processes for rates derivatives, fixed income products, and XVA portfolios
    • Review valuation methodologies, reserves, and pricing adjustments to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls
    • Partner with Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to investigate valuation issues and resolve discrepancies
    • Enhance and automate P&L reporting, valuation controls, and management reporting processes
    • Support finance transformation initiatives and modernization of reporting infrastructure
    • Monitor trading activity and assess valuation impacts associated with new transactions and complex structures
    • Manage and review Volcker Reporting requirements and related controls
    • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, governance documentation, and EUC controls for critical reporting processes
    • Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and control framework initiatives

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
    • 8+ years of Product Control, Valuation Control, Capital Markets Advisory, or Fixed Income Finance experience
    • Strong experience covering XVA derivatives and fixed income products required
    • Prior management experience leading Product Control, Valuation Control, or finance teams required
    • Deep understanding of derivatives valuation methodologies, P&L attribution, and trade lifecycle controls
    • Experience with Rates products, XVA, and valuation adjustment frameworks strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of Volcker Reporting requirements required
    • Strong understanding of internal controls, valuation governance, and regulatory reporting processes
    • Experience working with large datasets, financial systems, and reporting architecture
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
    • CPA, CFA, or FRM designation is a plus
    • Candidates from investment banks, broker-dealers, capital markets advisory practices, or Big 4 valuation groups are encouraged to apply
    • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive process improvements and mentor junior team members
