Job Description:
Lead product strategy and platform transformation initiatives for a suite of tax and revenue management platforms serving government and constituent-facing use cases.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Own the product strategy and roadmap for a suite of tax and revenue platforms, including an internal administrative system and a constituent-facing tax portal.
Lead initiatives to consolidate multiple legacy solutions into a unified, scalable platform.
Drive modernization efforts to improve product performance, usability, and long-term scalability.
Partner with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver digital tools that enable tax filing, review of filings, and tax obligation management.
Translate complex tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements into scalable product capabilities.
Identify opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities and automation to improve workflows and user experience.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, and government stakeholders to ensure products align with state, county, and municipal tax requirements.
Establish product governance, prioritization frameworks, and delivery processes.
Lead and mentor a team of product managers.
Monitor product adoption, performance metrics, and operational data to guide product decisions and roadmap priorities.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
8–12 years of Product Management experience, including leadership of product teams.
Proven experience transforming or modernizing legacy products into scalable platforms.
Strong familiarity with tax ecosystems (personal filing, state and federal tax structures, business taxes, sales or occupancy taxes).
Experience building or managing financial, tax, or accounting software platforms.
Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to interpret accounting terminology and workflows.
Demonstrated experience delivering complex B2B products.
Experience working within regulated industries or government-related environments.
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience in B2G (business-to-government) technology environments.
Familiarity with financial software ecosystems such as QuickBooks, Intuit, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms.
Experience building constituent-facing portals or digital government platforms.
Experience incorporating AI-driven capabilities into enterprise products.
