Job DescriptionThis position will be responsible for establishing profitable growth strategies for the prenatal genetics product segment. The position leads new solution development, life cycle management and improves profitability for the segment through a cross-functional team. Advocates and prioritizes business cases to the GM of the Clinical Segment and wins support to execute strategies through Marketing and the value-delivery organization. The product director also works to build the business case and secure resources for new initiatives.Some of the key partners day to day will be Finance, R&D, HR, IT, Operations, Medical, Marketing and Sales. Responsibilities: Drive profitable growth strategy (organic and acquired) for the segment as part of annual strategic planning processDevelop Annual Operating Plan (AOP)Rigorously assess and improve profitability for the clinical segment by reducing both denials & cost of testing, and improving pricingOwn P&L responsibility for segmentLead launch team, to ensure pricing, coding, reporting, training, advertising/promotion, channel strategies and tactics are launch readyUnderstand continuum of care requirements and gapsAssure the voice of customer is brought into the in-line and product/solution creation processUnderstand the competitive landscape to ensure we have winning solutions in development and in the marketplaceExecute effective life-cycle management across the segment through robust cross-functional team managementRigorously assess new products/solutions to enable prioritization within R&D, IT and OperationsWork with R&D, BX/IT and Operations to bring new solutions to marketGenerate customer insights to define customer/market segment requirements to set product/portfolio solution, priority setting, risk managementDefine and manage product/service metrics (including TAT and other potential requirements such as billing programs, prior authorization, etc.)Support development of clinical KOLs and patient advocacy group relationshipsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, marketing and/or product management requiredAdvanced degree in Genetics preferredExcellent communication & presentation skillsStorytelling skillsBusiness insight and strategic mindsetDealing with ambiguity and complexity65150Quest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
