Job Description: What You Will Do

Join a dynamic team under the guidance of the Area General Manager, where you will lead the construction and project management teams to new heights! Your role will be pivotal in driving the professional development of the team, ensuring adherence to Performance Contracting and retrofit best practices. You will set team objectives and spearhead efforts to achieve outstanding productivity, all while ensuring compliance with the company's Safety Program for employees and subcontractors.

You will be the go-to contact for clients at the C-level, providing a seamless experience for all our offerings. Your leadership will be crucial in hiring, retaining, and developing top talent within your teams, preparing them for future success with clear expectations and development plans.

External Relationships

Be at the forefront of the contracting community, actively engaging with industry organizations and local subcontractors. Your efforts will ensure high customer satisfaction throughout all project phases, as you maintain a deep understanding of complex deal structures and assist in related sales and development activities. Your public relations strategy will promote our program's positive impact on the community.

Internal Relationships

Collaborate with the VP of Project Delivery on key performance indicators and safety initiatives. Work closely with the General Manager, Development Director, and local branch teams to meet capacity and capability needs for all projects. Engage with Project Delivery Consultants and Managers to provide early sales support and input on vendor selection, scope enhancements, and risk assessments.

Partner with the Technology & Solutions Engineering team to estimate and deliver cutting-edge mechanical retrofit and technology projects. Develop strong subcontractor/vendor relationships with Procurement to ensure process compliance.

Assist the General Manager in preparing the annual financial operating plan, ensuring financial goals are met, and provide monthly financial reporting.

How You Will Do It

• Establish a robust plan for staffing levels within the Sustainable Infrastructure Construction Team, ensuring high productivity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage the profitable delivery of the project portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to budget and scope.
• Oversee project activities, including FIMs delivery, and provide monthly reporting on project financial status.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards, maintaining strong customer relationships throughout project lifecycles.
• Communicate project statuses to leadership and provide accurate forecasts for revenue, costs, and gross margin.
• Champion the company's Safety Program and achieve expert-level proficiency in internal tools and reporting.
• Take ownership of project delivery from development through post-mortem, providing feedback for continuous improvement.

Productivity Measurements

Drive the successful expansion and delivery of various contract models using key metrics:

• Speed to revenue (flow rate)
• Executed gross margin (slippage) across the portfolio
• Portfolio free cash flow
• Timely project completion
• Customer satisfaction
• Team tool usage
• Safety metrics

What We Look For

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (e.g., Project/Construction Management, Engineering)
• 10 years of project/construction management experience
• Deep understanding of multiple contract delivery models and financial structures
• Experience managing project/business portfolios over $100M
• Proficient in scheduling tools and applications
• Strong project management process competencies
• Ability to navigate financial data systems
• Proficiency in Client Software suite, Adobe products, and Project Management Software tools like Procore and Primavera
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Leadership and coaching abilities across different team levels

Preferred:

• PMP or Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification
• LEED certification
• MBA with a focus on financial acumen
