WakeMed is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as our Director of Rehabilitation Hospital. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the strategic, operational, clinical, and financial performance of the Rehabilitation Hospital while guiding multidisciplinary teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes.

As the Director, you will lead a diverse group of clinical and operational departments, including Nursing, Case Management, Admissions, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Therapeutic Recreation, and REACH Programs. You will play a critical role in driving patient satisfaction, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and program growth across both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.

What You'll Do

• Provide leadership and oversight for all Rehabilitation Hospital clinical, operational, and financial activities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, patient-centered care, and service excellence.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Oversee admissions, case management, and care coordination functions across rehabilitation services.
• Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation standards and lead re-accreditation efforts.
• Monitor and improve performance metrics, patient outcomes, and satisfaction results through data-driven decision making.
• Serve as a key liaison for rehabilitation-related technology systems, reporting requirements, and program performance initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical leaders, administrators, and staff to support strategic priorities and operational success.
• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and financial performance to ensure sustainable growth and efficiency.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance clinical quality, operational effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
• Support a seamless continuum of care across inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
• Act on behalf of Rehabilitation Hospital leadership as needed and provide operational support during the absence of executive leadership.

Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Required - Or Licensed Physical Therapist Required - Or Licensed Occupational Therapist Required - Or Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Required - And Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist Required Education:

Master's Degree Required, MHA and/or MBA preferred 

Experience: 5 Years Clinical - Rehabilitation Required - And 5 Years Management Required - And 2 Years Referral Development Preferred
