Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Department Director serves as the technical and administrative head of the Respiratory Department. Is responsible for ensuring that the Cardiopulmonary Departments, Respiratory Care, Pulmonary Rehab, and Sleep Lab, are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and current accepted medical practices in Respiratory medicine. Department responsibilities include but are not limited to: operations, fiscal, personnel and other functions as required by administration or departmental needs. The position will be responsible for working with patients ages: neonate/infant (birth-1 yr), pediatric (1-12 yrs), adolescent (12-18 yrs), adult (18-65 yrs), and geriatric (65 yrs and up)
What you will do in the role:
a. Authorizes all hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, and terminations.
b. Conducts or reviews performance appraisals.
c. Conducts or reviews all formal counseling or disciplinary actions.
d. Conducts or reviews commendations.
e. Addresses personnel grievances.
f. Maintains personnel files as required.
g. Approves scheduling and staffing of department.

a. Completes all budget forms to meet deadlines.
b. Evaluates budget, operations, and goals for reducing costs, improving productivity, market expansion, or contracting services.
