Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Risk Management to join Provident’s owner-side asset management team in Dallas, Texas. This role reports directly to the Managing Director – Asset Management, and partners closely with senior leadership, legal, finance, development, and operations teams to proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate risk while ensuring appropriate insurance coverage, contractual risk transfer, and cost efficiency.
Success in this role requires exceptional communication, executive presence, and relationship management skills. The Director of Risk Management will serve as a trusted advisor to internal business leaders and external partners, translating complex insurance and risk issues into practical business recommendations while building strong, collaborative relationships across the organization and with brokers, carriers, lenders, investors, tenants, and legal counsel.
This is in-office role.
| Insurance & Risk Program Expertise Manages complex, multi-line insurance programs across a diversified portfolio with confidence; negotiates coverage and cost terms effectively with brokers and carriers. | Contractual Risk Transfer & Compliance Reviews construction, lease, loan, and joint venture agreements to identify exposure and enforce contractual insurance requirements across all parties. |
| Claims & Litigation Oversight Drives claims from first notice through resolution, coordinating closely with adjusters, counsel, and internal stakeholders to protect company interests. | Cross-Functional Risk Partnership Partners seamlessly with development, construction, operations, legal, and finance teams to embed risk awareness into everyday decision-making. |
