Director (RN) Case Management
An established acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse leader to oversee Case Management services. This newly created leadership opportunity reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in hospital case management operations, care coordination, and team leadership.

Position Overview
The Director of Case Management is responsible for leading the department's daily operations while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care coordination from admission through discharge or transfer. This leader will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes, optimize resource utilization, support regulatory compliance, and promote operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Case Management department.
  • Oversee patient care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization management processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop case management staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient flow and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support patient advocacy initiatives while promoting safe, efficient transitions of care.
Required Qualifications
  • Current Montana RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Minimum of one year of hospital Case Management leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to five years of hospital Case Management leadership experience.
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, MBA, or another related advanced degree.
  • Demonstrated success leading and expanding hospital case management programs.
