Position Overview
Our client, a leading organization supporting national security and defense missions, is seeking a highly capable, strategic, and proactive professional to provide Director's Action Group (DAG) Support. This high-visibility role is responsible for enhancing organizational effectiveness by driving executive priorities, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and supporting senior leadership in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
The successful candidate will serve as a key operational integrator, translating leadership priorities into actionable outcomes while ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution across multiple stakeholders. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, executive-level communication abilities, and experience operating within complex Department of Defense environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Track, manage, and coordinate high-priority executive taskings from senior government leadership.
- Develop executive briefings, decision packages, information papers, staff summaries, and other leadership communications.
- Coordinate across multiple internal organizations and external stakeholders to gather information, consolidate inputs, and deliver high-quality responses.
- Maintain and oversee organizational task management processes to ensure visibility, accountability, and timely completion of action items.
- Prepare executive read-aheads and support senior leader meetings, engagements, and decision forums.
- Synchronize cross-functional activities to support strategic priorities and leadership objectives.
- Facilitate communication between executive leadership and key government stakeholders.
- Monitor action items, identify potential risks to execution, and provide recommendations to maintain schedule and mission alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Management, Engineering, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Department of Defense headquarters, program offices, or equivalent executive staff organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority efforts simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level briefings and decision support materials.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense staffing processes, governance, and executive decision-making.
