Director, SAP S/4HANA Portfolio & Delivery

An entertainment and media organization is seeking a Director, SAP S/4HANA Portfolio & Delivery in New York City. This role leads SAP S/4HANA delivery and portfolio operations across major transformation initiatives, with a focus on program execution, governance, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Lead SAP S/4HANA delivery strategy and execution across major transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate deployment, testing, cutover, and go-live readiness with finance and technology stakeholders.
• Oversee portfolio operations, including governance, standards, methodologies, and milestone tracking.
• Manage budgets, financial controls, vendor contracts, billing, invoicing, and project reporting.
• Monitor risks, issues, resource allocation, and capacity planning while preparing executive-ready status updates and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10+ years of related professional or technical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation.
• 5+ years of people management experience in a technology leadership role.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA modules, functionalities, and implementation processes.
• Experience leading at least 3 ERP transformation initiatives, including at least 2 SAP S/4 transformations.
• Experience leading interfaces and boundary system transformations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and make sound decisions.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale IT projects.
• Strong understanding of business processes within finance and their integration with SAP systems.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in media environments.
• PMP or other relevant project management certification.
• Exposure to executive presentation development and technology strategy communication.
