Within this business, Schwab Retirement Plan Services helps employers design and deliver retirement programs intended to support employee outcomes while making plan management easier and more efficient.

In this leadership role, you will define and activate the consulting and thought leadership go-to-market model for Schwab Retirement Plan Services, helping deliver exceptional client experiences, deepen relationships, and support strong plan and participant outcomes. You will lead a team of tenured subject matter experts across actuarial, plan document, conversion, and ERISA consulting while translating strategy into actionable priorities, performance goals, and scalable solutions for clients, consultants, and prospects. You will also serve as an integrator across direct and partner teams to package a holistic client offering, elevate internal practices, strengthen Schwab's industry presence, and foster a culture of change leadership, talent development, and continuous improvement.

What you have

Required:

  • 15+ years of financial services experience, including 10+ years in the retirement industry supporting large, complex employer-sponsored retirement plans.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Deep knowledge of integrated benefit services, including equity compensation, administration, plan design, qualified retirement plans, and non-qualified executive deferred compensation plans.
  • Strong understanding of retirement and benefits industry trends, regulatory and legislative developments, and ERISA-related requirements.
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Proven leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading transformation in highly collaborative environments while building strong internal and external partnerships and coaching team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong ownership mindset, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking skills, with a client-focused approach to advancing initiatives and resolving complex issues.
