Director, Strategic Partnerships, Legal ProfessionalsCoCounsel, a leading AI platform for legal professionals, is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to own our most strategic Legal AI partnerships.Reporting directly to the VP of Legal Professionals Partnerships at Thomson Reuters, this high‑visibility role requires a senior operator capable of engaging partner CEOs and Thomson Reuters executives, turning complex partnerships into durable commercial advantage.LocationLocation: New York (hybrid; 3 days/week in office). Remote work arrangement possible for the right candidate.About the RolePersonally own a small set of top Legal AI partners from initial thesis to long‑term value creation.Set a multi‑year vision and joint operating plan for each partner, including commercial model, integration roadmap, and success metrics.Drive integration depth with CoCounsel product and engineering leaders to ensure partner capabilities add meaningful value for customers.Lead complex commercial negotiations with partner CEOs, founders, and senior executives.Build the go‑to‑market motion with sales, marketing, and enablement so partner integrations translate into pipeline and revenue.Represent partnership strategy externally with partner executives, founders, investors, and internally with Thomson Reuters senior leadership.About You10+ years in partnerships, alliances, BD, corporate development, or strategy, with meaningful time in tech or legal tech.Track record of owning partnerships that produced outsized commercial outcomes.Clear, credible point of view on AI and the legal tech market's trajectory.Experience leading complex commercial negotiations at C‑level, with deal structures beyond standard reseller or referral models.Comfortable operating autonomously and influencing across product, engineering, sales, and executive teams.Strong commercial judgment and ability to navigate complex partnerships.Excellent written and verbal communication, able to move between partner CEO conversations, product roadmap reviews, and internal executive updates.Willingness to travel to meet partners and attend industry events.BenefitsFlexible work arrangements, including up to 8 weeks per year working from anywhere.Grow My Way learning and development programming.Competitive vacation, two company‑wide mental health days, and paid holidays, plus parental, sabbatical, and additional leave options.Health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and a 401(k) plan with company match.Tuition reimbursement, employee incentive programs, and access to Employee Assistance Program.Flex Spending and Health Savings Accounts, fitness reimbursement, commuter benefits, etc.Paid volunteer days, ESG initiatives, and social impact opportunities.CompensationBase salary range: $157,500 USD – $292,500 USD.
