A Director of Surgical Services is needed in Dickson, TN at a 150+ bed accredited regional medical center that holds designation as an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center, offering a full array of services including cardiology, emergency, oncology, orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and women's services.

The role. Reporting into the facility's administrative leadership, the Director of Surgical Services holds full accountability for the day-to-day operations, staffing, and quality outcomes of the surgical services department. The director drives evidence-based clinical practice, manages variation in surgical care delivery, and ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. A significant focus of the role is financial stewardship — including annual budget development, productivity management, labor control, and supply and equipment expense oversight. The director also partners closely with physicians and the administrative team to identify opportunities to expand or develop new service lines, and fosters an interdisciplinary culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across departments.

What we're looking for.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • 1+ years of recent Acute Care Director or Manager of Surgical Services applicable experience Required
  • 3+ years applicable experience in acute care Surgical Services Required

Schedule. Full time, days, no weekends.

Compensation. $98,280 - $157,019 per year plus Relocation: Case by Case Basis Incentive Bonus of 17.5%
