Description
A Director of Surgical Services opportunity is available at an 84-bed community hospital in Fredericksburg, TX, offering a broad range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, GYN, ophthalmology, breast, and robotics across 5 operating rooms with approximately 4,000 cases annually.
The role. Reporting directly to the COO and leading a team of 5060 FTEs, this director oversees all nursing practice and surgical services operations across a multi-specialty OR environment. The director is responsible for identifying and implementing evidence-based clinical practices, managing clinical variation to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. This role collaborates with physicians and the administrative team to enhance existing services and identify opportunities for service line expansion, while maintaining responsibility for the annual budget process and day-to-day operating expense management.
What we're looking for.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Master's Degree preferred
- 3+ years applicable experience required
- Some leadership experience required; will consider candidates with recent Surgical Services Manager experience
- Will consider candidates from Ambulatory Surgery Centers
Schedule. Full-time, days, no weekends.
Compensation. $97,052 - $145,000 per year plus Sign-on bonus available
