Duties
Help
The Director, System Oversight Division, is responsible for executive oversight of system corrections involving Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) designees and delegations, FAA design and production approval holders, and operations associated with bilateral agreements. The Director applies systems thinking to understand linkages and interactions, quickly identify issues within the system, and maintain confidence in the performance of industry, designees, organizations, and bilateral partners through robust oversight. These efforts enable AIR to focus resources on areas of higher risk and on new, novel, and emerging industry practices and technologies. In the discharge of these duties and responsibilities, the Director administers a budget of approximately $50M and provides executive direction and oversight to over 300 employees, including direct supervision of one L-band manager.
