Job Description

Provide end to end leadership for the strategy, delivery, and operational support of enterprise employee technology solutions. This role will drive the full lifecycle of applications and services — from strategy and roadmap through solution delivery, production operations, incident management, and continuous improvement — ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, cost effective, and aligned with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy, Roadmap & Business Alignment

• Partner with business leaders to translate business strategy and priorities into technology strategy, operating plans, and multi year delivery roadmaps

• Balance delivery investments and operational sustainability, incorporating cost, risk, asset health, security, and architectural alignment

• Provide cost, feasibility, and value trade off analysis to support prioritization and funding decisions

Technology Delivery

• Lead delivery of technology solutions and enhancements, ensuring commitments for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk are met

• Oversee release planning, change management, and deployment activities to minimize business disruption

• Ensure solutions meet architectural standards, SDLC requirements, and regulatory expectations

• Coordinate across multiple concurrent initiatives and resolve delivery risks and dependencies

Production Support & Operational Excellence

• Own production support outcomes for assigned applications and services, including availability, performance, incident management, and remediation

• Lead response to major and critical incidents, ensuring timely service restoration, executive communication, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes

• Establish and mature operational processes, service metrics, and continuous improvement plans aligned to ITIL and operational best practices

• Drive proactive identification of recurring issues, service gaps, and improvement opportunities

Vendor, Partner & SLA Management

• Manage strategic vendor and partner relationships across delivery and operations

• Establish, monitor, and enforce service level agreements (SLAs) and delivery expectations

• Ensure vendor resources follow Ameriprise standards, methodologies, and quality requirements

• Partner with procurement to manage contracts, performance, and cost effectiveness

Financial & Resource Management

• Own budget and financial planning for delivery initiatives and production services, including vendor contracts

• Optimize resource strategies (internal vs. vendor, on shore/off shore) to balance speed, quality, cost, and resilience

• Forecast and manage spend across delivery and run activities with transparency and accountability

People Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness

• Lead and develop an organization spanning delivery and production support functions

• Build capabilities across engineering, operations, and service management disciplines

• Drive performance management, talent development, succession planning, and engagement

• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Governance, Risk & Standards

• Champion adoption of enterprise standards, ITIL practices, SDLC, and operational controls

• Ensure compliance with security, risk, audit, and regulatory requirements

• Translate technical risks into clear business impacts and mitigation options for senior leaders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (4-years) in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field; or equivalent work experience

• 7-10+ years experience of increasing responsibility in the delivery and operations of technology products/services

• 3-5+ years of leadership experience, including demonstrated success in leading technical teams and executing technical projects within a quality management framework

• 2-3+ years of experience in successfully managing budgets (departmental and/or project)

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver technical information to non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications

• ServiceNow

Visa Sponsorship

Applicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).
