Through a holistic approach that integrates wealth management, tax planning, and family office services, Forvis Mazars delivers personalized strategies aligned with each client's goals—ensuring peace of mind and long-term financial well-being.This role is a core component of the firm's Wealth Strategy platform, operating at the intersection of advanced estate and family enterprise planning. The Wealth Strategist serves as an advisor on the most complex Private client engagements, partnering with Tax, Wealth Advisory, and other firm service lines to deliver integrated solutions for ultra-high net worth (UHNW) individuals, multigenerational families and privately held business owners.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, recommend and implement complex tax and estate plans for clients in collaboration with existing and external advisors.Translate complex tax, estate, and legacy planning concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for clients, advisors, and relationship partners.Lead and participate in multi-advisor and multi-generational client meetings involving family members, attorneys, trustees, and other external advisors.Act as an externally recognized thought leader in the Private Client area, with potential to present at conferences and produce written materials.Consult with clients and their attorneys on the benefits of estate planning and identifying appropriate plans for estate taxes, utilizing knowledge of inheritance, gift, income, and estate taxes.Advise families on governance, legacy planning, and long-term stewardship considerations as part of holistic wealth strategies.Collaborate with other planning resources and partners in acquiring new clients.Conduct and review research, develop tax, estate, and other analyses and plans, and provide generally accepted recommendations to the team and clients.Provide direction to and oversee Private Client personnel in the development of work product.Maintain current, in-depth knowledge of estate planning services (e.g., personal trusts, living trusts, wills, estate and tax planning).Maintain periodic contact with clients in coordination with the relationship partner.Deepen existing relationships by working with integrated Private Client teams; retain, expand, and deepen relationships in collaboration with relationship partners.Identify solutions and services as sales opportunities to enhance existing client relationships.Develop new client relationships through networking, prospecting, and referrals by being actively involved in networking at key organizations.Assess and manage risks to ensure adherence to and support of Enterprise Risk.Apply business concepts, tools, and processes to diverse situations to support sound decision-making.Represent the Wealth Strategy platform internally and externally, modeling best practices in collaboration, judgment, and client leadership.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related fieldCPA license, CTFA, LLM, or JDMinimum of 9+ years of professional client-facing experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in law, tax services and consulting, financial services, wealth management, or financial planningKnowledge of fiduciary capabilities and services (e.g., personal trusts, living trusts, wills, investment management, custody, financial consulting, estate and tax planning), including fee structures and documentationRegular travel for in-person client meetings, family engagements, internal planning sessions, and advisor collaborationTravel may include multi-day engagements and attendance at conferences, client events, or firm initiatives based on business and client needsWillingness and ability to travel to support relationship development, complex planning discussions, and client trust-buildingAbout Forvis Mazars, LLPForvis Mazars, LLP is an independent member of Forvis Mazars Global, a leading global professional services network. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual. Non-exempt/hourly positions are eligible for time and a half pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
