Apply today!As Director, Breakdown Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading all fleet maintenance activities performed outside of company-operated shops, including roadside breakdowns, emergency repairs, vendor repairs, preventive maintenance coordination, and dealer service execution across North America.This position provides strategic and daily leadership for the Breakdown Maintenance team and serves as the primary owner of outside maintenance cost, repair quality, vendor performance, and asset uptime. The Director will ensure repairs are performed safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company maintenance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all breakdown and outside repair maintenance operations.Manage annual outside maintenance and breakdown repair budgets.Develop and maintain a network of preferred repair vendors, dealerships, tire providers, tow companies, mobile maintenance providers, and emergency service partners.Work with drivers, operations and safety departments to improve equipment care, breakdown prevention, and proper reporting procedures.Lead and develop the Breakdown Maintenance team to efficiently and competently handle all emergency repairs.Utilize maintenance management systems and reporting tools to improve operational performance.Role RequirementsSeven years or more of fleet maintenance leadership experience.Five years or more of managing outside repair providers and networks.Strong understanding of heavy-duty truck and trailer maintenance.Proven leadership and team development experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.Experience with Trimble TMT, Decisiv, FleetNet, Geotab, McLeod or similar fleet systems.BenefitsCompetitive salaryMedical, dental and vision coverageCompany-paid life insurance and short-term disabilityPaid time off and holidaysCompany matched 401(k) Equal Opportunity EmployerPGT Trucking, Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
