We strive to do so by offering generous benefits and promoting a work environment where everyone supports each other.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENTIAL APARTMENT PROGRAM COORDINATORAs a Residential Apartment Program Coordinator with our nonprofit, you play an integral role in ensuring our program runs smoothly. Without you, our clients wouldn't receive the top-quality care they need and our staff wouldn't get the training to help them perform at their best. Most of your day is spent working hands-on with our clients to ensure that their physical and financial well-being is being taken care of. You also hold regular staff meetings and make sure that you are always available when your team needs help or has questions that relate to the operations of the program. Your willingness to be flexible and remain on call is why you are an effective leader, and it brings you great satisfaction knowing you serve in such an important role with our nonprofit!The Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the program for people with disabilities; ensuring compliance with state and contract standards for programs and facilities is essential. The clients are mostly independent, though they need varying levels of support with personal hygiene care, medical care and behavior supports. The Coordinator will work with the individuals, oversee, plan and execute specific activities in these areas, as well as, communication, social skills, safety, recreation and leisure, and various other tasks to help the individuals learn independence in their lives.QUALIFICATIONS FOR A RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM COORDINATOR1+ years of experience working with individuals with Developmental/intellectual disabilities1+ years of supervisory experience, which includes interviewing and hiring staff as well as conducting performance evaluations, training staff, and schedulingAbility to complete required training within 3 months of employmentAbility to produce and review typed business letters, reports, and accurate numerical recordsPersonal and reliable transportationValid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of insuranceComputer skillsLeadership skillsExperience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors is preferred. Are you an expert problem solver with strong critical thinking skills? Can you remain calm in stressful situations? Are you able to effectively mentor and motivate others? If yes, you might just be perfect for this human services position with our group home!WORK SCHEDULEThe typical schedule for this position is Sunday 9 am-9 pm, Monday 2 pm-9 pm, Tuesday 2pm - 9pm, Wednesday and Thursday 11am-6pm, with Friday and Saturday off.The nature of the role will require flexibility and availability to address urgent program needs such as, staff coverage and emergencies outside of the typical schedule.
