Job Title: Disability Services Coordinator – Limited TermLocation: Atlanta, GeorgiaRegular/Temporary: RegularFull/Part Time: Full-TimeJob ID: 299840Job SummaryAssist the Director – Disability Services in delivering services and programs to students. Evaluate and interpret student disability history and documentation to coordinate appropriate accommodations. Coordinate support services for note-taking, alternate formatting and classroom space accessibility. Meet with the assigned caseload of students on an ongoing basis. Serve on institute-wide committees to advise on policies affecting students with disabilities. Interact with faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, and community members.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and interpret student disability history and documentation to coordinate the provision of appropriate accommodations.Coordinate support services for note-taking, alternate formatting and classroom space accessibility.Meet with the assigned caseload of students on an ongoing basis to assist and make appropriate referrals for academic and non-academic issues to enhance overall student development.Maintain current working knowledge of assistive technology and make recommendations for new acquisitions.Assist in disability-related programming and campus educational and assessment initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsEducational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Higher Education, Counseling, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred experience: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities; experience in a university environment.Required Experience: Two to four years of job-related experience.Other Required Qualifications: Overnight travel required for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree.Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.Equal Employment OpportunityGeorgia Tech is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
