Job Title: Disaster Recovery Lead
Work Location: Texas (Remote)
Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience required; Minimum of 4 years within the Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity space is required.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • The IS Disaster Recovery Lead Analyst plays a key role in supporting and advancing the Information Systems Disaster Recovery (ISDR) Program.
  • This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all aspects of disaster recovery initiatives to ensure business continuity and system resilience.
  • In this role, the Lead Analyst collaborates with and guides technical teams, aligning efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
  • The position requires a well-rounded skill set spanning technical expertise, business operations, project management, risk mitigation, crisis response, and vendor coordination.
  • Key responsibilities include supporting issue resolution and status reporting for ISDR infrastructure and processes, leading disaster recovery testing and exercises, assisting with the integration of new technologies, and participating in real-time recovery events.
  • The IS Disaster Recovery Lead Analyst is also expected to manage projects from initiation through successful completion.
Skills & Qualifications: 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Information Systems or Business preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Systems
  • At least 4 years of experience in Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Experience in a healthcare provider environment preferred
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead teams and prioritize work based on organizational objectives
  • Strong experience in developing technical documentation, procedures, and reports
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity tools and software
  • Ability to design, implement, and follow structured processes for critical operations
  • Capable of independent decision-making and problem-solving
  • Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative thinking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure
  • Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA

Technical Skills: 

  • Advanced technical writing capabilities
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and system design
  • Experience with workflow and process mapping
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Teams
