Job Title: Dish Machine Operator
Location: Smokin’ J’s Rib and Brewhouse
Job Type: Full-Time (5 Days/Week, Fridays and Saturdays Off)
Starting Pay: $12.00 per hour
Reports To: Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef
Smokin’ J’s Rib and Brewhouse is hiring a reliable and organized Dish Machine Operator to join our back-of-house team. This full-time position is key to keeping our kitchen clean, efficient, and running smoothly. If you’re a team player who takes pride in keeping things tidy and on track, we’d love to meet you!
Operate and maintain the commercial dishwashing machine
Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are cleaned and sanitized to health code standards
Keep the dish station clean, organized, and safe at all times
Sort and store clean items in their proper places
Support kitchen staff with light prep and cleaning tasks as needed
Follow all sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures
Manage kitchen waste and recycling properly
Perform closing duties such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning equipment
Previous dishwashing experience is helpful but not required
Strong organizational skills and ability to stay on task
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
Can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Dependable, punctual, and a good communicator
Available to work full-time, five days a week with Fridays and Saturday Off
$12.00/hour starting pay
