Job Title: Dishwasher



Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Dishwasher to join our team and contribute to the overall cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed and sanitized according to health and safety standards. The Dishwasher will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff and ensuring a smooth operation.



Responsibilities:


  1. Dishwashing: Wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in a timely and efficient manner, using the appropriate cleaning materials and equipment.
  2. Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that kitchen equipment, such as dishwashing machines, is maintained and operated properly. Report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
  3. Organization: Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Properly store dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
  4. Assist Kitchen Staff: Support the kitchen team by helping with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and chopping vegetables, as needed.
  5. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, to maintain a safe working environment.
  6. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient operation of the kitchen.
  7. Flexible Schedule: Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the business.
  8. Efficiency: Work quickly and efficiently to keep up with the pace of the kitchen and ensure that dishes and utensils are readily available for the culinary team.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of dishes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen procedures and equipment.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
