Dishwasher and Food Prep / $16 per hour

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented team member to support our kitchen operations through efficient dishwashing and food preparation. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive kitchen environment while helping the culinary team deliver a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment in a timely and sanitary manner
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, prep stations, and common kitchen spaces
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
• Properly store cleaned items and prepared ingredients according to kitchen procedures
• Remove trash, recycling, and kitchen waste as needed
• Support cooks and kitchen staff with additional tasks during busy periods
• Report maintenance or supply issues to the appropriate team member

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
• Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to learn
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate-weight items as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a positive attitude under pressure

Preferred Skills (not required)

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, cafeteria, or food service setting
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and standard kitchen tools
• Experience assisting with ingredient prep in a professional kitchen
