Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Dishwasher, you will wash dishes, pots and pans, cleans equipment and work areas, buses trays, delivers/picks up carts, unloads deliveries, may assist in preparation and service of food for patient and performs related duties as assigned.

  • You will collect patient dirty food carts
  • You will break down patient food carts
  • You will monitor and record the dish machine wash and rinse temperature
  • You will tend and load the dish machine with patient, cafeteria and catering dirty dishes.
  • You will assist in storage of clean dishes
  • You will maintain the dish room, janitor closet and patient food carts in an organized, sanitary manner
  • You will work an assigned position on tray line
  • You will deliver and pass out patient trays
  • You will deposit garbage into trash compactor
  • You will assist in the cleaning of the kitchen, storeroom, walk-in and freezer floors
  • You will assist in recycling of empty boxes and cans

What qualifications you will need:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent – preferred

  • Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Travis/Williamsons County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit within 7 days of hire
