Job Summary and Qualifications Responsible of performing various cleaning tasks, running a dish machine, and operating a manual pot & pan wash station.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Operates commercial dish machine & manual pot washing stations. Sets up dish machine &/or pot areas promptly at the beginning of each shift and keeps kitchen supplied with clean pots/pans/china/silverware/etc throughout the day. Maintains area with appropriate cleaning supplies and requisitions items as needed prior to running out. Thoroughly breaks down and cleans equipment after each meal period. Checks & records the dish machine temperature prior to each meal period washing. Immediately stops dish machine operation if temperature is below standard & reports to supervisor. Tests pot washing final rinse water to assure effective concentration of sanitizing solution. Maintains knowledge of each utility position duties. Adheres to departmental Quality Assurance procedures. Able to demonstrate effective sanitation of ware washing equipment. Performs daily and weekly cleaning assignments according to schedule. Follows the standard infection control practices for hand washing, personal hygiene, grooming, uniforms, and food handling. Attends 90% of departmental meetings and all required in-services. Practices safety techniques. Adheres to standard safety procedures in all aspects of the job. Learns correct equipment operating procedures and reports malfunctions to supervisor immediately. Responsible for careful and safe handling of all equipment, knives, & glass / chinaware. Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned. Ensures assigned duties are enthusiastically completed as designated. Ensures completion of duties provides results at the level requested.
