Dishwasher

We are seeking dependable, hardworking Dishwashers to join our team at our fast-paced, one-shift steakhouse in Clemmons, NC. Our Dishwashers play a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while supporting the entire restaurant team. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish room throughout the shift.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste according to restaurant procedures.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, keeping all work areas clean and free of hazards.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, shelving, storage areas, walk-in coolers, and prep stations.
• Restock clean dishes, cookware, and utensils to designated kitchen areas.
• Support kitchen staff by maintaining a steady flow of clean equipment during peak service times.
• Follow all health department regulations and restaurant sanitation standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to management promptly.
• Perform additional cleaning and closing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, twist, and work in a hot, wet environment.
• Comfortable working around commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Schedule

• Evening shifts only.
• Weekend and holiday availability is required.
• Flexible scheduling based on business needs.
