Job Purpose Summary
A dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in a kitchen by cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth kitchen operations and supporting the overall team.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, knives, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, walls, and trash areas
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
- Assist with basic food prep tasks when needed (e.g., peeling, chopping)
- Restock clean dishes and supplies to appropriate areas
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
