Position Summary
We're hiring reliable, hardworking dishwashers to join our back-of-house team as we open Deepwell — the newest full-service restaurant from the Kindred Hospitality group. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment suited to team members who take pride in keeping the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes.
About UsDeepwell is an upscale casual restaurant and part of a growing local restaurant group, with several other restaurants in the area owned by Joe & Katy Kindred. Our culinary team has earned five James Beard Foundation nominations for Best Chef: Southeast along with other national and local accolades. We want to continue to grow and push the boundaries of food and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized dish pit and ensure a steady supply of clean items throughout service
- Properly store and stack clean dishware and equipment
- Assist with basic kitchen prep and cleaning duties as needed
- Empty trash and maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and drains
- Follow all health department and food safety guidelines for sanitation
- Communicate with kitchen staff to anticipate needs during high-volume service
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a fast-paced, organized workflow
- Work collaboratively as part of a team during high-volume, fast-paced shifts
Qualifications
- Previous dish or kitchen experience preferred, not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working around heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: Competitive, based on experience. Starting at $16/hr.
