What will you be doing?

Sea Captain's House has been a favorite of the Grand Strand for over 60 years.  We are a high-volume, fast-paced, oceanfront restaurant with an award-winning kitchen that is looking for Dishwashers to join our team!  Dishwashers play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food & beverage services. They uphold our standards of cleanliness for glassware, utensils, and tableware through proper sanitation protocols. Additionally, they contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Dishwasher responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen area by following proper sanitation procedures.
• Uses the prescribed equipment and cleaning methods to assure proper sanitation; wash glassware, utensils, and dishware by hand or place them in the dishwasher machine.
• Sorts and stacks clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook line and other designated storage areas
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors; cleans shelves, carts and racks.
• Washes work tables, meat blocks, walls and walk-in coolers and freezers
• Removes trash and places it in designated containers
• Cleans and hoses out garbage cans
• Follows safety standards, policies and procedures of the property, as well as on a state and federal level.
• Projects a favorable image of the property to the public at all times
• Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

• Experience in dishwashing at full service restaurants
• Experience in high volume restaurants
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and stand for long periods of time
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
