Position Summary

The Dishwasher washes and sanitizes all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.00 - $18.00

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes all food service areas and equipment.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.
• Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures.
• Stocks plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning.
• Ensures compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintains temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keeps dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes all trash and maintains loading and receiving areas in safe and clean condition.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a restaurant or events environment is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
