As a Steward, you’ll support the heart of our culinary operations by helping maintain cleanliness, sanitation, dishwashing operations, and kitchen organization across restaurants, banquets, catering, and event spaces. Whatyou’llbe doing
Wash, clean, sanitize, andproperly storedishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, kitchen utensils, and Food & Beverage equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization across kitchens, dish areas, storage rooms, banquet spaces, and back-of-house operations.
Support kitchen and banquet teams by ensuring clean equipment and supplies are available throughout service periods.
Assistwith waste removal, recycling, floor cleaning, deep cleaning tasks, and maintaining sanitation standards across Food & Beverage operations.
Operate dishwashing machines and stewarding equipment safely and effectively.
Follow food safety regulations, sanitation standards, HACCP guidelines, OSHA requirements, and hotel safety procedures at all times.
Help organize and storechina, glassware, silverware, cookware, and banquet equipment properly.
Assistwith banquet setup and breakdown support as needed for meetings, events, weddings, and catering functions.
Monitor cleaning supply levels and communicate inventory or maintenance needs to leadership.
Support a clean, safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment for culinary and Food & Beverage teams.
Work collaboratively with Culinary, Banquets, and Food & Beverage teams to support smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction.
Help create a positive and team-oriented workplace aligned with Sonesta’s PeoplePeopleculture.
Any other duties as assigned.
What great looks like
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previousstewarding, dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, banquet, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality and kitchen environment.
Strong attention to cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and safety standards.
Ability tooperatedishwashing equipment and stewarding tools safely and effectively.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive, service-focused attitude.
Dependable, proactive, and able to follow operational procedures consistently.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in hospitality operations.
A passion for hospitality, teamwork, cleanliness, and supporting exceptional guest experiences behind the scenes.
