Responsibilities include:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils
  • Prioritize clean silverware, china, and glassware based on the immediate needs of the dining room, bar, and kitchen
  • Inspect dishes, glassware, and silverware for chips, stains, damage, or defects before they are returned to service
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated storage areas
  • Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and sanitary throughout the shift
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, floors, mats, and cleaning supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • Remove trash and recycling as needed and place items in designated pickup areas
  • Clean garbage cans and assigned kitchen areas as needed
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and squeegee floors in assigned work areas
  • Assist with receiving inventory and storing delivered items in designated areas
  • Help wash, prepare, or organize produce and kitchen items as directed
  • Restock supplies as needed
  • Notify the Chef, Manager, or General Manager if there is a shortage of clean dishes, silverware, glassware, or kitchen equipment
  • Follow all health, safety, food handling, and sanitation guidelines
  • Wear appropriate protective equipment when required
  • Support the kitchen and front-of-house team as needed during service

Qualifications:

  • Reliable, punctual, and hard-working
  • Positive attitude and willingness to help the team
  • Ability to work quickly and with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with managers and team members
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Able to stay organized and manage tasks under pressure
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time
  • Able to bend, lift, carry, and move items as needed
  • Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills are a plus
  • Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred, but not required
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • The kitchen stays clean, organized, and ready for service
  • Dishes, silverware, glassware, and equipment are cleaned and stocked on time
  • The dining room, bar, and kitchen teams have what they need to serve guests smoothly
  • Cleaning and sanitation standards are consistently followed
  • You communicate clearly when supplies, dishes, or support are needed
  • You work with urgency, care, and a team-first attitude
