Dishwasher/Warewasher - PT

In this part-time position, you will work as part of a team in a fast-paced, fun environment. This position is primarily responsible for cleaning the large and small totes, trays, and utensils used in a production process.  Candidate must be able to maintain a clean working environment and perform sanitation of production equipment as necessary.   Length of shift will vary depending on production schedule.  Start time for this position will vary between 5am – 7am based on production need. The starting rate for this position is $13.75/hour.

Education & Qualifications:        Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of hygiene and sanitation practices. High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.   Must be able to stand up to 4 hours at one time, and up to 8 hours in a shift.  Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis.  Must understand the importance of thoroughly cleaned ware and attention-to-detail is necessary.  Will attend on-site Health Awareness Training.  

Essential Functions:

• Operates dishwashing machine following the company’s safety standards and protocols.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines with utensils, trays, and totes of various sizes ensuring they are cleaned efficiently.
• Collect ware wash items from production areas and return after cleaning.
• Inspects items before loading into machine and again after cleaning to ensure they are free from residue or damage.
• Regularly clean the dish machine itself for optimal performance.
• Follow proper handling procedures for chemicals used in washing process adhering strictly to safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist production staff as needed with food prep tasks during downtime or when not operating dishwasher.
• Coordinate with other staff members about what items need priority washing or special handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area by sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash as needed.
• Perform routine sanitation of ware wash storage carts and areas.
• Assist with cleaning of production equipment and is cleaned according to sanitary regulations.
